With his usual good humour and enthusiasm, Benedict Allen is on the road this summer for the Society’s Regional Theatres Programme.
Speaking at five venues across the UK, TV presenter and adventurer Benedict shares the full story of his dramatic return to Papua New Guinea, which featured in the inspiring BBC Two series Birds of paradise: the ultimate quest.
Along with the distinguished BBC Security Correspondent Frank Gardner, Benedict travelled through swamps and some of the most inhospitable terrain on the planet in search of the island’s elusive birds of paradise.
