Stay at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ secret Manhattan lair

There is a listing on AirBnB to stay in the Manhattan dwelling that Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo call home. The three bedroom, four bathroom apartment is listed for $10 and one of the few rules is to clean up your pizza crusts.

What are you having for lunch? Today is National Fish & Chip Day so it would be rude not to indulge in Britain’s national dish. Chippies nationwide are preparing for long queues so don’t wait until you are starving.

Baby jumping Festival
As far as weird and wonderful festivals go, this one is way up there. Since the 17th century, on the Sunday after Corpus Christi (that was the Sunday just gone), the Spanish town of Castrillo De Murcia celebrates El Colacho festival. This festival involves men dressed in yellow and red jumpsuits to symbolise the devil actually jumping over babies as a baptismal rite.

The world’s longest tunnel

The 57km tunnel running under the Swiss Alps provides a high-speed rail link that is hoped to revolutionise European freight transport.
