This week: Cat maps, cheap Eurostar tickets for the laid-back traveller, a moving Swedish city and Dutch floating madness.
Bosch bash
In the Netherlands they’re getting ready for the annual Bosch Parade – a floating carnival of weird, inspired by 15th century artist Hieronymous Bosch. We think he’d have been very proud of these bizarre creations.
Cat map
People have been attaching GPS modules for cats to find out where they wander off to at night. The resulting maps are, well, insane – take a look.
Moving time
In Sweden, they’re getting set to move a whole city that’s in danger of sinking into the ground. Take a look at what’s planned in this video which proves that the Swedes can even make films about town planning fun. More on that here.
Aww, snap!

If you’re the kind of traveller who goes with the flow, then you’ll love this news. Eurostar have introduced a new super-cheap £25 each way fare to Paris or Brussels – the catch being you’ll only find out what time you’re leaving 48 hours beforehand.
