London has been ranked the top city destination by TripAdvisor, but some visitors beg to differ. The Telegraph revealed some hilarious one-star reviews that have been left about some of London’s famous sights. The Tower of London left one visitor so enraged they commented; “The 1960s called, they want their attraction back.”

Boaty McBoatface

There is still time to get your name suggestions in. The Natural Environment Research Council have asked the public to suggest names for its new polar research vessel. The 15,000 tonne £200,000,000 ship that is due to be operational in 2017 could be called Boaty McBoatface if they choose the current landslide favourite. Maybe we should get you to suggest names for our globes.

New Zealand chooses Jack over All Black

Following the New Zealand flag referendums, it has been declared that the existing flag featuring the Union Jack will remain. A new flag with a silver fern that is similar to the All Blacks’ rugby team logo was proposed but after long deliberation was rejected.

Bricks in the sky

Talk about a dream job, Warren Elsmore constructs landmarks out of LEGO for a living. His work includes miniature brick models of the Eiffel Tower, the Auckland Sky Tower and the Empire State Building to name a few. These and much more are currently on display at the ArcelorMittal Orbit.
