Travel with a purpose this autumn with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)

Interested in fieldwork, scientific expeditions or planning a journey with a purpose? If so, the Royal Geographical Society (wth IBG) is organising two events – Explore and Explore North West – where you can meet like-minded people, seek out opportunities and learn from others.
Explore, the Society’s annual expedition and fieldwork planning weekend, takes place on 10-12 November. Over the years it has been the starting point for many innovative field research projects and expeditions, and some of our best known explorers and field scientists have at one time or another attended, spoken or volunteered at Explore.

With over 100 field scientists and independent travellers giving lectures, running workshops and providing practical advice, it’s an event not to be missed if you’re looking for inspiration.

This year the Explore team is also heading to Ambleside to run a one day event on Saturday 7 October. The University of Cumbria is celebrating its 10th anniversary and Explore North West is an expedition and planning workshop with a focus on student-led projects.

So if you are passionate about planning your own journey with purpose, book a ticket to Explore or Explore North West and get your expedition started. The sooner you book, the bigger the discount.
