We have been waiting for this day. We can finally put these stickers on books because the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards 2016 Shortlists have been announced for the following six categories: Fiction (with a sense of place), Adventure Travel Book of the Year, Children’s Travel Book of the Year, Food and Travel Book of the Year, Illustrated Travel Book of the Year and Innovation in Travel Publishing.
Launched in 2015, the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards celebrates the best travel writing, and travel writers, in the world. This year the category list has grown considerably to honour even more talent in this sector.

The shortlist for the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year, in association with the Author’s Club, will be announced on the 17th January.
The winners of all categories, as well as the Lonely Planet Travel Blog of the Year and Bradt Travel Guides New Travel Writer of the Year, and the Edward Stanford Award for Outstanding Contribution to Travel Writing, will be revealed on 2nd February at a star-studded dinner during the Stanfords Travel Writers Festival at Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show at Olympia.
