Always near the top of any wanderlust wish list, Peru‘s Inca Trail up to Machu Picchu welcomes hundreds of people every day. 500 per day to be exact, as that is the amount of daily permits issued.
Usually the permits for the year are released in January, but for 2017 they have been released today. So if you were planning on taking the four-day trip next year you might want to book your place sooner rather than later as permits for the busy times may sell out.
