Gold toilet on display at the Guggenheim is a piece of art

The 18-carat gold toilet is by artist Maurizio Cattelan and has been titled America as a representation of the wealth gap. This golden throne in the Guggenheim, New York is not in an exhibition or behind ropes but has replaced one of the museum’s standard toilets so visitors can get interactive with this piece of art.

Tube station replaces adverts with cat pictures

Cat cafes are so last season. A crowdfunding campaign has raised over £20,000 to replace the adverts at Clapham Common Tube station with pictures of cats for no other apparent reason other than to make commuters feel good.

Copenhagen is the most expensive city to visit in Europe

In second place came Stockholm with London coming in third. According to the travel booking site Hoppa, the Danish capital tops the list.
