Norwegians are so kind. Not only do they give us the massive Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square every year, but now they are thinking of giving Finland a mountain. To celebrate Finland’s centenary of independence, the mountain Norway are considering gifting borders the two countries and would become Finland’s highest peak.

A homesickness hotline for travelling Australians launched

Beast of Dartmoor mystery solved?

For years the mystery of the beast of Dartmoor has baffled many. Rumoured sightings of large cats savaging livestock have been reported in the past. Now it could all make sense as it has been revealed that the famous circus owner Mary Chipperfield released some pumas into the moors after her zoo was shut down in the late 1970s.

Talking of animals on the loose, a family of ostriches are wreaking havoc in the East Ayrshire village of Patna. Villagers have been warned not to approach the family as they are very protective and can get aggressive. No one knows where the family have come from.
