Around the world in 1,300 haircuts
Japanese hairdresser, Jun Kuwabara has used his scissors in 30 countries so far offering haircuts along the way. Using the beautiful settings and landmarks, Kawabara has been setting up makeshift salons in a bid to make friends and offer his services. with no set fees, if people have nothing they don’t have to pay, the price is up to them, he also accepts food or beer.

Finland’s Wife Carrying Festival

As far as weird and wonderful festivals go, we have a serious contender for the top stop with this one. Last weekend the annual Wife Carrying World Championships took place in Sonkajarvi Finland.

World Chocolate Day

Because some things in life deserve a whole day for us all to stop what we are doing and truly rejoice in its existence. July 7th was World Chocolate Day and we hope you celebrated accordingly by having a chocolate breakfast of champions and paying homage to the sweet stuff by gorging yourself throughout the day.
This couple put the art in cartography

Tom and Brittany Horn from Texas have created a beautiful personalised memento of their trip to Europe by making a map with just wood, yarn and nails. Using a different coloured yarn to mark their route of travel the couple plan to travel to Canada next. They are going to need a bigger map.
